Luella Bahner

Mrs. Vernon (Luella) Bahner, age 77, Rt. 1, Nickerson, passed away very suddenly Monday afternoon, May 13, 1985 after becoming ill at her home, and being taken to Memorial Hospital of Dodge County, where she died.

She was born October 233, 1907, at Sterling, Nebraska, and came to Fremont with her family when she was nine years of age. She was a member of the Nickerson United Methodist Church and the church’s UMW.

On March 14, 1928, the former Luella Diedrichs was married to Vernon Bahner. They have lived in the Nickerson areal all their married years, and at their present farm for 30 years.

Her survivors include her husband Vernon, four sisters Mrs. Ted (Evelyn) Nichols of Fremont, Mrs. Arthur (Wilma) Mock of Fair Oaks, California, Mrs. John (Geraldine) Anderson of Burbank, California, Mrs. James (Alberta) Allen of Oakridge, California; two brothers Morrill Dietrichs of Glendale, California and Gerald Dietrichs of Los Angeles.

Visitation was the Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont. The funeral service was held Thursday, May 16 at the Nickerson United Methodist Church in Nickerson with the Rev. Dr. Fred Richart officiating.

Burial was in Ridge Cemetery in Fremont. Memorials may be given to her church and the Heart Fund.

Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
