Grace Money Dies In Blair At Age 69

Grace Elizabeth Money died May 14, 1976 at Memorial Community Hospital.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 17 at 2 p.m. at the Congregational Church in Blair, with the Reverend John Fritzmeier conducting the service.

Pallbearers were Bert Faltys, Wayne Lambertz, Walter Nieman, Milton Olson of Blair, Don Kessler and William Triggs of Sioux City, Iowa.

Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.

Grace was born October 31, 1906, in Allen Nebraska, to Charles and Ruth Jeffrey and remained in Allen until 1926.

She entered nurses training at St. Francis School of Nursing in Grand Island and upon graduation remained on the hospital staff as Supervisor of Nursing until 1947 when she married W. J. Money.

Grace and Jesse moved to Blair and joined the Congregational Church where Grace participated in Women’s Fellowship, served as a Sunday School Teacher, and was Chairman of the Chancel Committee of the Church.

She also belonged to the Washington County Nurses Association and was a Past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star Chapter No. 161.

Until recent years, Grace remained active in the Fontenelle Park Garden Club in Omaha.

Her survivors include her husband, Jesse, son, Jerry of Orange City, Calif., daughter, Linda Jorgensen of Blair, and brother, Charles Jeffrey, of Studio City, Calif.

She also had 3 grandchildren, David and Douglas Money, and Kim Jorgensen.

Services For Grace E. Money This Afternoon

Funeral services will be held this afternoon (Monday) for Grace E. Money, wife of W. J. (Jess) Money of 1541 Wilbur Drive, Blair.

Mrs. Money, who has been in failing health for a number of months, died Friday, May 14 at the Blair Memorial Hospital. She was 69 years of age, having been born October 3, 1906.

She is survived by her husband Jess, by a son, Jerry of Orange, California; a daughter, Mrs. James Jorgensen (Linda) of Blair and by three grandchildren.

A brother, Charles S. Jeffrey, resides at Studio City, California.

Funeral services are at 2:00 p.m. this afternoon at the First Congregational Church. The Rev. John Fritzmeier will conduct the service and burial will be under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home.
