Funeral Friday for Mrs. V. Fankhauser

Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Fankhouser were held Friday, Oct. 5, at the Rural Seventh-day Adventist Church with the Rev. E. V. Schultz of Fremont officiating.

Music was furnished by Mrs. Glen Miller and Mrs. George Brewer with Mrs. Raymond Halstead at the piano.

Pallbearers were Roscoe Little, Jr., Russell and Gerald Jensen, Wayne Fankhouser and Roger and Rodney Barber. Burial was in the Tekamah Cemetery with Hamel & Peck as directors.

Nellie Fankhouser was the daughter of Jens Peter and Anna Marie Jensen. She was born November 14, 1896, at Herman and died October 3, 1962, at the age of 65 years.

She was married to Vernon Fankhouser May 9, 1917, and they made their home in the Tekamah community all their married life. They had four children.

Mrs. Fankhouser was a life-long member of the Tekamah Rural Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Vernon; children, Mrs. Iola Revis of Fort Collins, Colo., Mrs. Bonny Updike of Arlington, Harry Fankhouser of Herman and Robert Fankhouser of Decatur; brothers, Alfred and Victor Jensen of Tekamah; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
