W. J. Money, 83, passed away October 17, 1988, at Crowell Home where he resided for the past two years.

William Jesse Money was born March 7, 1905 in Raymond, Nebraska. He moved to Blair in 1945 and after 38 years of government employment retired from the Soil Conservation Service in 1972. Prior to that time he had served in the Navy Construction (Sea Bees) from 1942-1945 in the South Pacific.

Mr. Money was a member of the United Church of Christ, Knights Templar and Master of Masons for Local Lodge No. 21 of which he had been a member of 55 years. He had served 3 years as a Worthy Patron for eastern Star and had been a participant in the Triad Council No. 33 of Tekamah.

Jessie is survived by a sister, Dorothy Triggs of Sioux City, Iowa; son, Jerry, and two grandsons, David and Doug of Orange, California; daughter, Linda Jorgensen and granddaughter, Kim, of Blair and nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are: Wayne Lambertz, Don Frost, Gene Solomon, Dr. Rudy Sievers, John Christopher, Mike Christopher and Bob Thew.

Services will be held at the United Congregational Church of Christ, Thursday, October 20, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Blair Cemetery.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements with Reverend Debra Tompsett-Welch officiating.
