REINHART THADEN IS BURIED AT FORT CALHOUN

Funeral services were held Monday, May 16, at Sievers – Sprick Funeral Home for Reinhart F. Thaden, 80, who died May 12, 1983, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Reinhart F. Thaden was born May 15, 1902, at Fort Calhoun to Ude and Bertha Hass Thaden, who had come to the Fort Calhoun area from Schleswieg-Holstein. He went to school in Fort Calhoun. He had worked on farms near Fremont.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Kay Thaden; his parents; one brother, Otto; and one sister, Hulda.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kaye and Martin Schroeder; grandsons, Brian, Robert, Kenneth, and Bradley and his wife Dessie, all of Henderson; a grandson, Bret of Seward, Nebraska; a foster grandson, Doug West and his wife Judy of Albequerque, New Mexico; a brother, Rudy, Blair; sisters, Helen of Blair, Edith of Arlington, Celia of Constantine, Michigan, and Sophie of Greenfield, Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews.

Sievers – Sprick Mortuary in Fort Calhoun was in charge of arrangements.
