HOWARD THERKELSEN

Howard M. (Bus) Therkelsen, 59, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, passed away on June 16, 1986. Funeral services will be in Fort Lauderdale on Thursday, June 19, and a memorial service will be in Blair at a later date, to be announced.

Mr. Therkelsen was a former Blairite, where he worked for Blair Lumber and Tyson Fertilizer, before moving to Harvard, Illinois, and then to Florida, working for a condominium complex.

Therkelsen was born January 9, 1927 to Raymond and Martha Therkelsen. He graduated from Blair High School in 1944 and served two years in the U.S. Air Force. He married Darlene Lahner of Downers Grove, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ted.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene; two daughters, Mrs. Mike (Tari) Choiniere of Blair and Mrs. Marty (Nancy) Halverson of Illinois; two grandsons and one granddaughter; one sister, Arlene Morgan; one brother, Ray Therkelsen; and many friends.
