ANOTHER PIONEER ANSWERS THE LAST CALL

Peter Therkelsen, deceased, was born in Denmark in the year 1839, and came to this country in 1873, settling first in Omaha and two years later moving to Blair.

Mr. Therkelsen has been a good citizen and has always been respected by his fellowmen for his honesty and straight forward dealings.

He has been ailing for the past four years, but has been bedfast since last October, at times rallying so that he was apparently on the road to recovery. For some time, however, the family has known that there was no hope, and have been prepared for the end, which came last Monday morning at 9 o’clock.

The deceased leaves a wife and two children and a number of grandchildren to mourn his loss.

The funeral services are to be held today, first at the house at 1:30 and at 2 at the Danish church, the services to be conducted by Rev. Lang of the Danish church.
