Iola Fankhouser, 83, of Blair, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, at First Christian Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Iola Graves was born Feb. 17, 1923, at Fullerton to Fred and Myrtle (Stott) Graves. On July 4, 1961, she married Harry Fankhouser in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Roger and Phyllis Barber of Herman, and Rodney Barber of Omaha; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; grandson, Brad Barber, and two brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Friends of the Blair Animal Shelter.
