Services Are on Tuesday for Edward Monroe

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont for Edward J. Monroe, 85, of Fremont who died June 18, 1983, at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont.

The Rev. J. W. Berry of Salem Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be Memorial Cemetery at Fremont.

Edward J. Monroe was born April 26, 1898, at Fremont. He farmed west of Arlington until 1961 when he retired and moved to Fremont.

He was a member of Izaak Walton League and the Fremont Gun Club. He was a well-known trap shooter.

He married Gertrude Janowski in Papillion on November 26, 1936. She preceded him in death on November 17, 1981.

He is survived by one brother, C. W. Monroe, Sioux City, Iowa, and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Gerald Bean, Carson Day, H. U. (Bud) Gaines, Ray (Butch) Scheer, Don Rockwell and Dr. Jack Cady.

Memorials are suggested to the Red Cross Hospital Equipment Fund at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont.

Moser Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
