Services for Ernest Monson, age 90 of Fremont who died at the Arbor Manor in Fremont, December 4, 1992 were Monday, December 7 at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home with burial in the Blair Cemetery.

Ernest Victor Monson was born on January 13, 1902 at Kennard, Nebraska to John and Stine Poulson Monson. He attended the Brewster School in rural Kennard.

On June 8, 1927 he married Ella Nohrenberg at Fremont.

They lived and farmed in rural Kennard for eight years after their marriage and then moved west of Blair, in the Sutherland District. He farmed in this area until retiring in the early 1970s. In June, 1990, he moved to Fremont and resided there until his death.

He was preceded in death by his son John, four brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Ella; daughter-in-law Cherie Taylor, Fremont, Nebraska; four grandchildren, Denise Patterson, Jennifer, Alison Monson and John Nate Monson; three great-grandchildren, Davis Patterson, Dylan Patterson and Jamie Monson and one sister, Emma Farnberg of Blair.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
