BESSIE THOMAS PASSES AWAY IN FREMONT

Sievers Funeral Home was in charge of funeral services for Bessie E. Thomas, 90, who died September 20th at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Marie Waldenstrom in Fremont, Nebraska. Reverend Lynn Williams officiated at the service at Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church, and burial was in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Mrs. Thomas lived east of Fort Calhoun, after coming here from Phoenix in 1936, on the land known as “Horseshoe Lake” for many years before moving to Fremont in 1971. Her husband preceded her in death in 1952.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Luther (Margaret) Berhenke and Mrs. Waldenstrom. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Martha Sherrard, Louisville, Kentucky; Fred Berhenke, Denver, Colorado; Kenneth Waldenstrom, Eaton, Colorado; and Lynn Waldenstrom, Omaha, Nebraska. There are five grandchildren.
