EVA MARY THOMAS

Eva Mary Thomas died on Friday, October 24, 1986, at the Crowell Home. Services were held 10 a.m., Monday, October 27, at the Campbell Funeral Home with Dr. Howard Bailey officiating. Interment was in the Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley, Iowa.

Mrs. Thomas was born on June 30, 1896, in Tipton in Cedar County, Iowa, and moved with her parents, Sara Elizabeth and Herman Smith to a farm in Osceola County, Iowa in 1903.

She attended high school in Sibley, Iowa, and was united in marriage in June 1917 with Glenn W. Jones of Allen, Nebraska. They became the parents of a daughter, Dorothy in January, 1920 and a son, James, in September, 1933. Subsequently she was married to C. L. Pressel of Arnolds Park, Iowa, who died in 1967 and to J. H. Thomas of Elk Point, South Dakota, who died in 1978. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Armstrong of Calgary, Canada.

She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy, Mrs. Harold Wright of Blair; a son, James L. Jones of Spirit Lake, Iowa; one grandson, Craig Jones of Spirit Lake, Iowa; four granddaughters, Mrs. Jerry Gruwell of Omaha; Mrs. Mary Beth Grieden of Fayette, Missouri; Mrs. Robert Pickett of Omaha; and Miss Barbara Wright of Bran-…………….(The rest of the article is cut off.)
