TRAVIS J. THOMAS, 25

Travis J. Thomas, 25, of Fremont, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12, at the Church of the Nazarene in Fremont. The Rev. Tom Shaw will officiate. Interment will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont, with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation will also be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at Moser Memorial Chapel, and at the church, one hour prior to services.

Travis J. Thomas was born July 15, 1975, in Fremont. He grew up in Fremont and was a 1993 graduate of Bergan Junior-Senior High School, where he also played football. He attended Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa from 1993 to 1995, where he played football. He then attended Midland College in Fremont in 1996, and played football. He was employed by Oriental Trading Company in Fremont.

Mr. Thomas played American Legion baseball while he was in high school, and coached baseball for the Fremont Parks and Recreation Department. He was a member of DeMolay in Fremont.

He is survived by his parents, Doug and Dee (Charleston) Thomas of Fremont; two sisters, Michelle Beerbohm, and Tiffany Thomas and her fiancé, Jeremy Southard, all of Fremont; grandparents, Herb and Mildred Charleston and Bill and Hazel Thomas, all of Fremont; a niece, Manndi Beerbohm and two nephews, Drew and Blake Beerbohm, all of Fremont.

Memorials are suggested to the church of the Nazarene in Fremont. Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
