Alonna K. Moore, 9

Funeral services for Alonna K. Moore, 9, of Blair, were held on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002, at the Herman Legion Hall. Interment was in the Tekamah Cemetery. Alonna died Monday, Aug. 26, at her grandparent’s home in Tekamah following a four-year battle with cancer.

Alonna Katherine Moore was born July 23, 1993, in Blair to Tonya Moore. She lived in Tekamah until January, 2002, when she and her mother moved to Blair.

She attended Herman Elementary school and would have been in the first grade. She loved people and animals. Her favorite activity was playing with her many cousins and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Tonya, and a brother, Braedyn Jacob Moore; her mother’s fiancé, Jason Ingram, and sons, of Omaha; grandparents, John and Cynthia Dewhurst of Tekamah, Donnie and Nancy Meyer Jr. of Herman, and Robert and Theresa Miller of Omaha; great-grandparents, Rosie Smith and Flora Rose Quick of Tekamah, Don and Reta Meyer Sr. of Herman, and James McClain of Walthill; aunts, Kay McCluskey and family and Terra Braniff and family, all of Tekamah, and Cassy Petersen and family of Omaha; numerous great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, M. Carol “Coondog” Moore, her great-grandmother, Peggy McClain, and her cousin, Jeffery Lynn Forsen.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair was in charge of arrangements.
