Mrs. Moore Buried In Arlington

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Moore, widow of James Moore, of Lincoln, formerly of Arlington, were conducted on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Methodist church in Arlington.

The Rev. W. D. Stenbaugh of Richfield, a former pastor of Arlington at the time the Moore family resided there, was in charge of the services.

Mrs. Moore was born in Illinois on October, 1862. In 1894 she and her husband and family came to Arlington and for a period of ten or twelve years operated a hotel, moving from Arlington to Lincoln.

Mr. Moore and a daughter preceded Mrs. Moore in death, and two children, a son, Hiram Moore, of California, and a daughter, Mrs. Inez Anderson of Lincoln survive her; also one brother of Colorado, one sister in South Dakota, and a sister, Mrs. Henry Mencke of Blair.

Mrs. Otto Renard, accompanied by Mrs. J. F. Laaker on the piano, sang “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere”.

Pallbearers were Raymond Ludwig, Carl Worley, Roy McCoy, Dean McCoy, H. W. Schoettger, and Henry Dorbecker.

Interment was made in the family lot in the Arlington cemetery. – Arlington News Services
