Donald A. Moore, 73

Services for Donald A. Moore, 73 of Blair who died Dec. 21, 1996 at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha were Monday, Dec. 23 at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Chapel. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Donald A. Moore was born April 6, 1923 in Blair to Sumner and Maudie Gilliam Moore.

In 1943, he entered the Navy and served during World War II.

After his return from the service, he worked for Templeton Motors, Don Feer, Kelly Ryan Manufacturing, and owned and operated service stations in Blair. At the time of his retirement he was employed by Concrete Equipment Company.

He was a member of the Irving Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2503 and was a past grand officer of the Military Order of Cooties, Pup Tent No. 10.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Ann; a granddaughter, Tami Larson; a great-grandson, Zachary Larson and three brothers, Kenneth “Nick” Moore, Sumner “Kayo” Moore and Charlie Moore.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mickey and Sherry Moore of Elkhorn and Thomas and Chris Moore of Dakota City, Nebr.; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Sherman Larson, Kennard; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Viola (Ole) Jaber of Blair and Mill and Vaden Webste4r of Aurora, Mo.

Memorials may be directed to the Blair Rescue Squad.
