SERVICES SET FOR BERNARD THOMPSON
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 6, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church for Bernard J. Thompson, who died October 4, 1982, in Blair.
The Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, at Campbell Funeral Home.
The Rev. Daniel Galas will conduct the services. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Bernard J. Thompson was born February 24, 1910, in Blair to James S. and Mary L. Barry Thompson. He married Christine Svogerson in Tekamah on February 24, 1937.
He farmed in the Kennard area until six years ago when he retired and moved to Blair. He had worked as an ASC reporter and was a member of the Eagles.
He is survived by his wife, Christine; and one son, Alfred Thompson of Omaha. Three grandchildren; one brother, James Thompson of Wilmington, California; and two sisters, Mrs. Jerry (Eileen) Jordan of Quitman, Texas; and Mrs. Charles (Margaret) Appel of Annadale, Minnestoa, also survive him.
Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
