11-YEAR-OLD IS VICTIM OF CYSTIC FIBROSIS

Carol Lynn Thompson, 11-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Thompson, died October 11th at University Hospital in Omaha. Carol was a victim of Cystic Fibrosis which also claimed the life of her brother, Keith, in 1974.

Carol Lynn was a member of the First Christian Church of Blair, having been baptized there on August 8, 1976. She attended West and Central Schools in Blair; was a member of Girl Scout Troop 184; the Patriotic Pioneers 4-H Club; and the Kelly Ryan Junior Softball team. She enjoyed these activities along with swimming and roller skating as her health would permit.

Carol leaves to mourn her death, besides her parents, Ray, Jr., and Kent. She had three sisters, Dawn, Brenda, and Lisa; her grandmother, Mrs. Hazel Thompson and Grandparents, Lavern and Leona Plambeck; many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and a host of friends.

Funeral services are being held today, October 11th at the First Christian Church in Blair with the Rev. Vernon Clark officiating. Burial, under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary will be made in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Les Miller, Sr., Everett Ball, Bob Hollingshead, Ned Miller, Milton Sorensen and Dean Corbin.
