Ethel Moore

Services for Ethel Esther (Bid) Moore, 84, a resident of the Good Shepherd Home in Blair, were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 6, 1987.

Moore was born May 19, 1902, in Tekamah to Charles and Kate (Hislip) Gilliam.

On April 24, 1919, she married Samuel A. Moore in Blair. Mr. Moore preceded her in death in 1980. Also those who preceded her in death were a son Clifford, her parents, four sisters, two brothers, three great-granddaughters and her great-grandson, Sammy Millinger.

She was a home maker all her life, and was involved with War Mothers; the VFW Auxiliary; the Legion Auxiliary, and was a charter member of the eagles and the Royal Neighbors.

Services were held at the First Christian Church with Rev. Owen Wilmot officiating. Donna Ball was the organist. Erma Hansen and Dorothy Wilmot were the vocalists. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Mike Fitch; Rodger Fitch; Mick Moore; Dennis Mundorf; Milton Sorensen, and Mitch Sorensen.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Al (Betty) Millrons of Blair; four granddaughters: Marilyn Miller, Blair; Beckey Millrons, Blair; Trudy Parsons, Blair, and Judy Ray, of Lennox, Iowa; also by eleven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
