A former Blair businessman died of an apparent heart attack in his home at Independence, Missouri on February 4, 1982. Jim “Sonny” Moore, a former John Deere dealer in Blair, died at the age of 52.

Mr. Moore had moved to Missouri where he was owner of a clothing store. After leaving Blair he had been in the construction business for ten years.

Surviving him are three sons: Dan, Gregg and Brian plus two daughters, Iris Moore, and Mrs. Elizabeth Huff and his mother, Mrs. Wilda Moore.
