Services For Sam Moore Held Saturday

Funeral services for 78 year old Samuel A. Moore were held on Saturday, October 18, 1980. Mr. Moore died on Thursday, October 16, 1980, at his home at 202 N. 23rd Street.

The services were held at the First Christian Church on Saturday at 11 a.m. Rev. Owen Wilmot officiated with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements and burial at the Blair Cemetery.

Samuel A. Moore was born in Harrison County, Iowa, on November 27, 1901. He was married to Ethel Milliam in 1919. The couple farmed until 14 years ago when he retired and moved to their home in Blair.

Surviving is his wife Bid, of Blair; one daughter, Mrs. Al (Betty) Millrons of Blair. One son, Clifford, preceded him in death. Surviving granddaughters are: Marilyn Pauley, Trudy Parson, Becky Millrons, all of Blair, and Judy Ray of Lenox, Iowa. There are nine great grandchildren, one great, great granddaughter.

Two brothers also survive. They are: Hugh Moore, Blair and Dan Moore of Blair.

Mr. Moore was a member of the Blair Eagles Club and the First Christian Church.

Pallbearers were: Rudy Fick, Clyde Fitch, Kai Kastrup Leonard Mathiesen, Bert Spanton and Ray Therkelsen.
