Samuel Hugh Moore was born in Harrison county, Iowa in 1868 where he grew to manhood and was married December 29, 1888 to Mary Barger at Logan, Iowa. They continued to make Harrison county their home until the fall of 1904 when they moved to Nebraska. Two years ago they moved to Blair where they have since resided and where he passed away at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 23.

Deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Moore: one daughter, Mrs. C. H. Metzler of Tekamah; eight sons as follows: S. J. Moore, E. A. Moore, S. A. Moore, Dan, Tucker, Ben and Hugh Jr., all of Blair; also twenty-four grandchildren, two half brothers and four great grandchildren.

The funeral services were held at the Christian church this (Thursday) afternoon at two o’clock and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
