Sumner Moore Died Here Sunday

Sumner I. Moore, well known Blair man, died at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair, Monday, January 1st, 1962. He had lived at 2062 Wright Street in Blair and had been a resident of this community many years.

Mr. Moore was born at Harrison County, Iowa November 12, 1894 and was, therefore, 67 years of age. He moved to this area with his family many years ago and has been a resident here most of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Maudie, to whom he was married July 15, 1916, and by two daughters and three sons. The daughters are Mrs. Vaden Webster (Millie) of Aurora, Missouri; and Mrs. Viola Jaber, of Omaha. The sons: Sumner I. (Kayo) of Blair; Kenneth (Nick), of Blair and Don Moore, also of Blair.

There are five brothers surviving. These are Sam Moore, Blair; Enoch More, Emerson; Ben Moore, Blair; Dan Moore, Blair; and Hugh Moore, Blair.

Funeral services are being held today, January 4th, at 2 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Blair. The Rev. Gilbert Reiland will conduct the services and burial will be made in the Blair cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.
