MARGARET SIERT DIED YESTERDAY

BORN IN BLAIR, SPENT LIFETIME HERE; LIVED FORTY YEARS IN SAME HOME

Margaret Siert, 72, passed away at the Siert family home on West Washington Street early yesterday morning after a four weeks illness. Born on September 10, 1872 in Blair, she had spent her entire lifetime in Blair, the last forty years at the family home where she passed away. Miss Siert was the third eldest of ten children of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Siert, pioneer Blair residents. Always possessed of a kindly disposition, she devoted her entire lifetime to the family home and in assisting other members of the family.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the family home with the Rev. A.J. Smith officiating. Arrangements are in charge of the Campbell Mortuary.

Surviving her are a sister, Kate, at home; three brothers, Paul and Frank Siert of Blair, and Fred Siert of North Hollywood, Calif., besides many nephews and nieces. A nephew, Harold Siert, has also made his home with her the past few years.

Born And Raised In Blair. Entire Life Was Spent Here

Margaret Siert, daughter of the late Henry and Ann Siert, died at her home on West Washington Street at 2:30 Wednesday morning.

Deceased was a member of one of the early Blair families. Her brother, Henry, now deceased, being the first male child born on the townsite. She was born on September 10th, 1872 in Blair. Her education was obtained in the Blair Schools, and her entire life has been spent in Blair.

For years she has resided with a sister in the home on West Washington Street where she died. She never married. She was a person of unassuming habits and a real lady of high culture, and her friends and relatives will miss her greatly.

She leaves to mourn her passing of her immediate family, a sister Kate, at home and three brothers, Frank, Fred and Paul, all of Blair, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held next Sunday at 2:30 o’clock from the home with Rev. Adelbert J. Smith of the Episcopal Church officiating, and interment will be made in the Blair Cemetery.
