The body of James Thompson, who died in the Nicholas Senn hospital in Omaha on Saturday evening, was brought to Arlington Monday for burial. He had been in the hospital for several weeks, being in too weak a condition to be operated upon until a week ago. The operation was for gall stones but it was found that he had an abcess of the stomach. Some hopes were held for his recovery until Saturday when he began to sink rapidly.

Mr. Thompson was born in Pennsylvania in 1867 and came to Nebraska with his parents when he was a year old. He spent the rest of his life on the farm north of Arlington. Besides his widow he is survived by five children, Edna, Lawrence, Leonard, Vivian and Vern; two brothers, Scott of Arlington and John of Philadelphia; two sisters, Mrs. Chas. Fagg of Arlington and Mrs. Jesse Burke of Salt Lake City. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Congregational church, Rev. Buss officiating. interment was made in Arlington Cemetery.

He is survived by five children, two sisters, two brothers besides his widow. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the Congregational church, Rev. Buss officiating.
