JOSEPH THOMPSON DIES SATURDAY IN BLAIR

Funeral services are Tuesday, March 10, at 10 a.m. for Joseph H. Thompson, 84, who died March 7, 1981, at Blair Memorial Community Hospital. Rev. Daniel Galas will conduct the services at St. Francis Borgia. Burial is in Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair. Rosary was held at 7 p.m. on March 9 at Campbell Funeral Home.

Joseph H. Thompson was born July 30, 1896 in Blair, Nebraska to Michael and Lilly Boston Thompson. He attended Cuming City School. He married Elizabeth Wise on August 10, 1935, in Blair. He farmed in the Blair area until 1965 when he retired and moved to Blair.

He is survived by his wife, Betty, of Blair; one son, Michael Thompson of Blair; and one daughter, Mrs. Don (Lilly) Wieser of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Five grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Charles (Carrie) Hineline, Blair; Mrs. Harvey (Elsie) Bunch, Crawford, Nebraska; Mrs. Emil (Bertha) Kruse, Fort Calhoun; Mrs. Tom (Madelyn) Whitney, Omaha; and Mrs. Tom (Mary) Byrne, Omaha; and three brothers, Peter Thompson, Omaha; Paul Thompson, Blair; and Bernard Thompson, Blair, also survive him.

Pallbearers are Paul Nockels, Don Wieser, Jr., Dan Wieser, Brian Thompson, Tom Sorensen and Bob Jensen.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
