Linda Morgan

Linda M. Morgan, 65, of Westlake Village, Calif., formerly of Arlington, died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at her home in Westlake Village.

She was born Dec. 5, 1944, in Omaha. She grew up in Arlington where she was a member of the 4-H Club. She attended church and Sunday school at the Congregational Church in Arlington. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1962 and then attended Doane College and worked at Union Pacific before moving to California. In California, she worked for Ventura County school District.

She married Charles Morgan on Aug. 31, 1969. He died Dec. 5, 1995.

She was a member of a Woman’s Club in California.

Survivors include: two daughters, Danelle Morgan (and Milo Rose) of San Diego and Darcie (and husband, Richie) Waldron of Sun Valley, Calif.; her mother, Mildred (Clausen) Lantefield of Fremont; two brothers, Sydney (and wife, Janice) Clausen of Arlington and Lonny (and wife, Anne) Clausen of Ord; a sister, Debra (and husband, Larry) Christensen of New York City; grandchildren, Charles and Jaylan Rose of San Diego; stepsister, Janice (and husband, Charles) Vopalensky of North Bend; step-brother, John Lantefield of Crete; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She also was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Clausen; and stepfather, Verl Lantefield.

The memorial service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont with the Rev. Terri Akkerman of First Congregational Church, UCC, of Fremont officiating. There is no visitation.

A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.
