ROGER E. THOMPSON, 57

Roger E. Thompson, 57, of rural Blair died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at First Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday with the family meeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Roger E. Thompson was born Aug. 7, 1941, at Hamburg, Iowa to Harold and Vina (Richards) Thompson. He was raised at Filley and graduated from Filley High School.

He moved to Omaha in 1959 and attended the Universal Trade School.

In September of 1961, he married Carole Lambrecht. They lived in Omaha until moving to rural Blair in 1991.

Mr. Thompson most recently worked for the Ray Martin Company. He had been with the Local 464 Steam Fitters Union for 35 years.

He is survived by his wife, Carole; two sons, Rick and Bradley Thompson of Omaha; four daughters, Kelly Thompson of Omaha; Pamela and husband, Ronald Allen of Uehling; Amy and husband, Steven Mortensen of Norfolk; and Beth Thompson of Blair; seven grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy, Cody, MaKayla and McKenzie Allen and Emily and Elyse Mortensen; his mother, Vina Smith of Filley; one sister, Barbara and husband, George Weiss of Tecumseh; and by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Lillian Lambrecht of Blair.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
