SELMA THOMPSON BURIED THURSDAY

Mrs. Selma Thompson passed away Monday, August 6th at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha, where she had been ill since July 10th.

She was born March 7, 1898 near Spiker to the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Andersen.

Three sons, Harley and Elton Thompson of Blair; and Lowell of Dixon, Nebraska survive her; and four daughters, Mrs. Wesley Wallace (Mildred) of Council Bluffs; Mrs. Alice Madsen (Alice) of Redland, Calif.; Mrs. Marlin Matzen (Nila) and Mrs. Ronald Jensen (Gloria) of Blair. There are 22 grandchildren.

Other survivors are: four brothers, Pete, Carl, William and Chris Andersen, all of Herman; and three sisters, Mrs. Henry Wolsmann, Mrs. Lulu Wolsmann, and Mrs. Earl C. Thompson.

Funeral services were held Thursday (today) at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church. Rev. Frank Nielsen officiated. The Bendorf Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Carroll Thompson, Earl W. Thompson, Eugene Wolsmann, Robert E. Wolsmann, Earl Burchman, and Earl Stokes. Warren Rounds and Jack Chapman were honorary pallbearers.
