DeLores M Bartling, 62

Funeral services for DeLores M, Bartling, 62, of Fremont, were held Monday, July 12, 2004, at the First Lutheran Church in Fremont. Interment was in the Hooper Cemetery. Mrs. Bartling died July 8 at the St. Joseph Villa in Omaha.

DeLores M. Bartling was born Sept. 21, 1941, in Fremont to Harland and Beulah (Jensen) Wolcott. She grew up in rural Hooper and at¬tended School District 21. She graduated from Hooper High School.

Early in her working years, she worked for Spangler’s Jewelry in Fremont and for the federal government at the Mead Ordnance Plant. She worked for 29 years at Valmont, where she was a senior executive secretary.

In July of 1959, she married Ron Bartling.

At one time, Mrs. Bartling was an accordion player, and participated in many music competitions in Kansas City. She also was an accordion teacher.

As her family was growing up, she supported their 4-H horse projects.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra Huddle of Fremont; son and daughter-in-law, Kirk and Sandra Bartling of Fremont; three grandchildren; and sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Charlie Martin of Arlington.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lois.

Memorials are suggested to the Picks Research Fund.

Ludvigsen Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
