Emily Ann Barta, 25

Emily Ann Barta age 25, Omaha, formerly of Hastings, NE, died Friday, February 17, 2006 in Omaha. Emily was born May 15, 1980 in Hastings, Nebraska to John and Paula (Jacupke) Barta.

Emily moved with her family to Carmel, IN, Kearney, NE, and to Omaha, NE. while in Carmel, IN, she was a member of the Carmel All Star Softball and Volleyball Teams. Emily had taken classes through Metro Community College in Omaha, NE.

Emily enjoyed art, photography, computers and scrapbooking. She loved pets and shared her many talents with her loving nieces. She most recently worked in the childcare field.

Emily was preceded in death by grandfather, Raymond Barta Sr. and an uncle, Jay Jacupke.

Survived by parents, Paula and John Barta, Omaha, NE; sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Thomas Becker, Fort Calhoun, NE; brother and sister-in-law, Guy and Anna Barta, Blair, NE; nieces, Mary Beth Becker, Fort Calhoun, NE, Anna Becker, Fort Calhoun, NE, Kathlyn Barta. Blair, NE; grandparents, Helen Jacupke, Hastings, NE. Jerry and Donna Jacupke, Hastings, NE. Rita Barta, Omaha, NE; aunts and uncles, Julie Jacupke, Hastings, NE, John Jacupke, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Raymond and Sharon Barta Jr., Omaha, NE, Karen Jacupke, Hastings, NE; numerous cousins.

Memorials may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation.

Burial Office will be Wednesday, February 22, 2006; 1:00 P.M. at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Pro- Cathedral, 422 North Burlington, Hastings, NE. The Very Reverend Thomas H. White and Pastor Dale Phillips will officiate.

Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. VISITATION Tues 2-21-06 9am-9pm with family present 7pm-9pm at the funeral home and Wed: 2-22-06
