Services for Fritz Bartling, 90 of Fremont who died February 29, 1992 at A. J. Merrick Manor in Fremont were Tuesday, March 3 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. Donald E. Levenhagen and Rev. David Loeschen officiated. Burial was in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, east of Winslow.

Fritz Bartling was born November 18, 1901 at Herman to Ludwig and Maria Siebuhr Bartling.

He farmed near Herman until retiring in 1966 when he moved to Fremont. He was then employed by DeKalb Seed Co., the Carson Day family and most recently the Fremont Golf Club until 1977.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

He married Edna Gieselmann January 24, 1937 at Arlington.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three infant children; brothers, Bernard, Adolph, Henry, Richard and Louis; sisters, Lena Mueller and Eliza Bartling and one grandson, Dana Lee Bartling.

He is survived by sons, Ivan Bartling, St Louis, Missouri and Arlan Bartling, Vail, Colorado; daughters, Marian (Mrs. Loyd) Jahnke, Las Vegas, Nevada and Lila (Mrs. Dennis) Jahnke, Bancroft; one sister, Mary Bartling of Fremont; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers were Victor Bartling, Kenneth Bartling, Donald Bartling, Harvey Bartling, Willis Mueller, Allen Mueller, Orlando Mueller, Kenneth Wuebbinhorst, Monty Vonasek and Michael Chambers.

Pallbearers were his grandsons, Bruce Jahnke, Terry Jahnke, Brian Jahnke, Todd Bartling, Ryan Bartling and Jayme Bartling.

Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church. Moser memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
