Kennard native Betty Peterson, 87, of Lincoln, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010.

A celebration of her life was held Monday, Nov. 8, at Bethlehem Covenant Church in Waverly. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Betty Christiansen was born March 17, 1923, in Kennard, to Chris and Hannah (Kunnemann) Christensen.

She was married to Kenneth Peterson.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Julie, of Coppell, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Rick Ronhovde of Lincoln; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Calvin Christiansen.

Roper and Sons Funeral Services in Waverly was in charge of arrangements.
