VIVA THOMPSON

Services for Viva Blanche Thompson, 67, who died Monday, October 7, 1985, at her Blair residence, are today (Thursday) at the First United Methodist Church in Blair at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. John Ewton and the Rev. Carl Schattauer, Jr., will officiate. Cremation was Tuesday, October 8.

Mrs. Thompson was born January 7, 1918, the daughter of Hubert and Essie Allen of Hollis, Oklahoma. She married Edward Thompson March 20, 1939 in Omaha.

She was a registered nurse at the Blair Clinic for over 30 years.

Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Washington County Nurses Association; the V.F.W. Auxiliary; the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include one son, William of Kennard; one daughter, Gail Buchanan of Omaha; her mother, Essie Allen of Avoca, Iowa; brothers and sisters, Nell Ford and Bob Allen, both of Oakland, Iowa; Hubert Allen of Lincoln; Lila Reynolds of Kansas City; Mervin Allen of Oakland, Iowa; Marian Palmer of Heyworth, Illinois; and Joyce Larimore of Omaha; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, one sister, two children, and her husband, Edward.

Organist is Clare Cowing and vocalist is Janet Brooks.

The Campbell Funeral Home of Blair is in charge of arrangements.
