HELEN M. THOMSEN, 75

Services were Tuesday, December 7 at First Congregational Church, U.C.C. of Fremont for Helen M. Thomsen, 75 of Fremont who died December 3, 1993 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont. Rev. Norman Pavey officiated. Burial was in the Arlington Cemetery at Arlington.

Helen M. Thomsen was born August 29, 1918 to Emery and Ethel Montgomery Hoenshell, Sr. at Osmond, Nebraska. She lived at Osmond, Greenwood and then in Fremont where she graduated from Fremont High School and from Midland College in 1941.

She taught school at Dodge, Nebraska for two years, was a secretary at First Congregational Church, U.C.C. at Fremont for four years, was a clerk at the city offices part time for several years.

She was a member of First Congregational Church, U.C.C. of Fremont, a church deaconess and numerous other church activities. She was active in the Mayflower Club and Women’s Fellowship Circle where she was secretary.

She married Harold O. Thomsen September 23, 1944 at Omaha. He preceded her in death March 11, 1984. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by a son, Terry Thomsen of Fremont; a brother, Emery Hoenshell, Jr. of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and four grandchildren.

Memorials may go to the First Congregational Church or the American Cancer Society.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
