Mrs. Hans Peter Nelson

The death of Mrs. Hans Peter Nelson occurred at the home of Mrs. Johansen, corner of 4th and Washington streets, on last Saturday, Feb. 26, where she had resided for five years or more with her old friend and neighbor, Mrs. Johansen. Mrs. Nelson had no children and no relatives anywhere. She was born in Norway about seventy seven years ago coming to America at forty years of age. She, with her husband lived in the neighborhood of Orum where her husband died perhaps fifteen years ago. She then moved to Blair, residing in Dexterville until she needed the care and comfort of a companion when she was removed to the home of Mrs. Johansen who had years before, promised to care for her if she needed her.

Her husband had a daughter by a previous marriage who resides in the old country and also two grand-sons who live in Omaha and who attended the funeral of their step-grand-mother which was held at her late home on Monday, Feb. 18, at 10 a.m., Rev. Halverson of the Danish Lutheran Church in Omaha officiating.

Interment was made in Orum cemetery beside her husband.
