Carl L. Bohs, 80

Carl L. Bohs, 80, of Omaha, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, in Omaha.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Carl Lyle Bohs was born July 3, 1930, to Carl and Esther (Monson) Bohs. He was raised in Blair, and baptized and confirmed at the First Lutheran Church of Blair. He attended high school locally, where he was educated in the Blair school system.

After graduation, he bravely served as a private in the U.S. Air Force from 1950-1952 during the Korean War. Upon returning from service to his country, he attended the electrical engineering program at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, where he obtained his degree. He traveled and expanded his electrical engineering career until his retirement in 2004. During retirement, he developed a passion for historical literature and dancing.

Mr. Bohs was a loving father to his three children and devoted husband of 27 years. He will be remembered for his enthusiasm and spirit for life.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle; daughters and son-in-law, Lizabeth and Phillip Olney and Andrea Bohs; son, Christopher Bohs; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; ex-wife, Darlene Swingholm; sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Roger Bauer; mother-in-law, Adrienne Higgins; many nieces and nephews.
