Services were Friday, August 16 at the Augustana Lutheran Church in Genoa, Nebraska for Kenneth A. Nelson, 85 who died August 13, 1996. Burial was in the Genoa Cemetery.

Kenneth A. Nelson was born July 21, 1911 at Genoa to John and Mary Nelson.

He farmed in Nance County. After retiring in 1968, he moved to Genoa.

He married Elsie Backman July 3, 1930 in Columbus, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters and one brother.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie; two sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Rosemary Nelson, Blair and Roger and Virginia Nelson, Genoa; a daughter and son-in-law, Lawrence and Virginia Klassen, Belgrade, Nebraska; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marj Hultman, Ruby Olson and Carol Anderson, Arlington and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Lois Backman, Blair.

Pallbearers were his grandsons, Allen Nelson, Scott Nelson, Steven Nelson, Dennis Nelson, Kent Klassen, Lawrence Klassen and Norm Svoboda.

Patricks Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
