CLARENCE THONE TO BE BURIED

Funeral services are today, Thursday, March 25, at 2 p.m. at Herman Methodist Church for Clarence Thone, 91, who died March 22, 1982 at Memorial Hospital in Blair.

Rev. Barbara Schenkel is conducting the services. Burial will be in Blair Cemetery, following graveside Masonic services.

Clarence Thone was born February 15, 1891, in Herman to Oscar and Christine Hanson Thone. He married Ruth Reeh on January 14, 1934, in Blair.

He farmed all his life. He was a member of the Herman Methodist Church and a 60-year member of Landmark Lodge 222 at Herman. He was also a member of the Royal Arch Masons at Tekamah and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star at Herman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Ronald.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Thone of Herman; and one son, Kenneth Thone of Herman. Two granddaughters, Tracy and Terri Jo, also survive him.

Pallbearers will be Jack Cameron, Joe Cameron, William Cameron, Vernon Clements, Lyle Hindley and Merle Ward.

Gracie Husk will be organist. Clare Cowing will provide the vocal music.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the service.
