News of the death of John A. Farnberg, one-time Blair man, has reached Blair. He died March 2 in a Chicago hospital following surgery.

Mr. Farnberg was an older brother of Wm. C. Farnberg of Blair and of Louie Farnberg, formerly of Blair and now of Hyde Park, New York.

The deceased man was born at Blair July 15, 1886, and was nearing his 81st birthday. He left this area fifty years ago and spent much of his adult life in the employment of the Union Pacific and Chicago-Northwestern railroads.

He is survived by his brothers previously mentioned, by a sister and nieces and nephews. Burial was made in Chicago.
