Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 19 at Campbell-Aman Funeral Chapel in Blair for James Edward Farnberg, 55 of Blair who died April 15, 1996 at his home after suffering from cancer for a year.

James Edward Farnberg was born March 18, 1941 at Omaha. He was adopted at an early age by William and Emma Farnberg.

He graduated from Blair High School in 1958. He then served his country in the Army from August, 1958 to March, 1962.

He lived in California for 23 years working in the banking business and also as an insurance salesman. He returned to Blair in 1988. He was co-owner of the Basket Place, assisting his wife in the day-to-day operation.

He was a member of the Rotary Club while living in California.

He married Laura Chatham January 21, 1970 in Los Angeles, California.

He is survived by his wife, Laura of Blair; children, Erica Farnberg of Blair, Noah of Blair, James, Jr., of Colorado Springs, Colorado, JoLynne Wambolt of Littleton, Colorado, and David Arias of Long Beach, California; his mother, Emma Farnberg of Blair and grandchildren.
