DAVISES ATTEND FUNERAL OF SISTER

Funeral services for Mr. Floyd (Myrtle) Morrison 64, of Mitchell, So. Dakota were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 21st at the Congregational Church in Mitchell with the Rev. Hans Poppe officiating.

She was born March 28, 1908 at Herman, Nebraska the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter E. Davis. She died June 17, 1972 at a Mitchell hospital.

On March 28, 1929 she married Floyd Morrison at Blair, Nebraska and they resided on a farm northeast of Mitchell.

She was a member of the Women’s Fellowship, the Loomis Ladies Aid and Loomis Farmer’s Union Local and was a 4-H leader.

Burial was in the Graceland cemetery.

Survivors include nine daughters: Evelyn Walters of Letcher, S. Dakota, Mary Doering, Mandan, N.D., Vivian DeJong of Kimball, Darlene Knutson of Rapid City, S.D., Beverly Perry of Plymouth, N.Y., Shirley Bowman, Karen Jorgensen, Carolyn Bernard, Cheryl Morrison of Mitchell, S.D.

Four sons: Floyd, Walter, Darwin and Lloyd, of Mitchell. 30 Grandchildren. Three brothers Clark C. of Herman, Nebraska, Walter A. Davis, Westminster, California, Chester E. Davis of San Diego. Four sisters, Nora Brooks of Chugwater, Wyoming, Laura E. Lamp and Lillie Edwards of Omaha, Mildred Van DeVenter, Commerce City, Colo. Two sister-in-laws, Mrs. Harry Eriksen of Lebanon, Oregon and Mrs. Clark Davis of Herman. Sisters of her late husband.

She was preceded in death by one son in 1954 and her husband in 1959.

Pallbearers were nephews: Robert, Earl and James Campbell, Roland Twamley, Harold R. Hall and James S. Hall.
