Private cremation services were held Wednesday, May 1 for Ruby J. Morrow, 74 of Council Bluffs, Iowa who died April 27, 1996 at the Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.

Ruby J. Morrow was born May 16, 1921 in White Oak, Arkansas to James Floyd and Mary Faye Pruitt Jones.

She married Kyle Morrow August 18, 1940 in Rockport, Missouri. They resided in Modale, Iowa.

She worked as a nurses aide at the Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley until moving to Coeur D Alene, Idaho, where she worked as a licensed practical nurse for several years.

She moved to Pottawattamie County after the death of her husband in March, 1992 before going to live at the Risen Son in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and was a Past Worthy Matron.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kyle, a sister, Goldie Miller and a brother, A. J. Jones.

She is survived by her children, Sondra Grafe of Post Falls, Idaho; Janice McGargill of carter Lake, Iowa; James Morrow of Spokane, Washington; Sally Salter of Modale; sisters, Alice Peterson of Murray, Nebraska; Sylvia Weddle of Nebraska City, Nebraska; Elizabeth Wurtele of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; Mary Beason of Lincoln, Nebraska; Cathy Kuzilik of Filer, Idaho; a brother, James Floyd Jones, Jr. of Blair; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Hennessey-Hurley-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley was in charge of arrangements.
