PHYLLIS THOMPSON, 82

Longtime Blair resident Phyllis Thompson, 82, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2008. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair.

Mrs. Thompson moved to Blair with her husband, Bernie, in 1961.

She worked at the Memorial Community Hospital in Blair for more than 20 years, retiring in 1988 as supervisor of the X-ray department. She dedicated her time to the MCH Auxiliary rummage sale, St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, and the Ladies Funeral Luncheon Committee.

She will be deeply missed by her many friends in Blair, and remembered fondly by her family. She is survived by her five children, Mike and Marilyn Thompson of Houston, Texas; Bryan and Lynn Beenblossom of Sonora, Calif.; Nancy Thompson and Ken Trever of Milford, Mich.; Mark and Linda Thompson of Indianapolis, Ind.; and Jim and Tami Thompson of Hartland, Wis.; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Opal Cummings and Donna Slach; and brother, Russell Shelley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie, in 1996.

Memorials are suggested to St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church Building Fund, or Memorial Community Hospital.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Tues, 9/9/08, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, Blair. Visitation will be held Mon. from 12 Noon – 8 PM with family receiving friends from 6 – 8 PM at the Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held at 7 PM.
