MICHAEL D. TIERNEY, 47

Funeral services for Michael D. Tierney, 47, of Blair, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Country Bible Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery. Mr. Tierney died Friday, April 1, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Michael D. Tierney was born Nov. 12, 1957, in Omaha to Willard and Evelyn (Spec) Tierney. He attended Tekamah schools.

On July 16, 1976, he married Deborah Wright in Blair. He worked in maintenance for Maple View Apartments in Omaha.

His family remembers him as a loving husband, dad, grandfather, and son. He enjoyed camping with his family, going on cruises, driving his Ford pickup, hunting with his son and son-in-law, and going to swap meets with his brothers. He enjoyed life to the fullest and never knew a stranger. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a proud grandpa and loved playing with his grandbabies. His sense of humor rarely left anyone walking away without a smile; now he is smiling while walking with his savior, Jesus Christ, in heaven.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie; daughters and son-in-law, Chantell and Dennis Gravedoni of Blair and Chelsea Tierney of Omaha; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Kelli Tierney of Carter Lake, Iowa; two grandchildren; mother, Evelyn Killingsworth of Blair; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Nancy Tierney of Blair; Dan and Teresa Tierney and Joe and Melanie Tierney of Omaha; Gary and Leslie Tierney of Kennard; Jerry and Sheila Tierney of Oakland; Jim and Christine Tierney of Cape Coral, Fla.; brother-in-law and wife, Ken and Sue Wright of Omaha; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lloyd and Joan Wright of Blair.

He was preceded in death by his father, and his brother, Thomas.
