Mrs. L. S. Morton

Mrs. L. S. Morton died at her home on east Lincoln street, Sunday, Sept. 27, 1914. She was born at Magoon, Knox county, Ill., July 29, 1837. She was married to Lewis S. Morton on Sept. 7, 1856. To this union two children were born, Mrs. H. L. Jones of this city, and L. O. Morton of Watonga, Okla. She had been a resident of Blair for a number of years. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. F. E. Volck from her home at two o’clock, Wednesday afternoon and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.

Mrs. L. Morton died Sunday afternoon at her home on East Lincoln street, from the result of a fall which occurred about a week before. The funeral was conducted by Rev. F. C. Volck at the house at 2 o’clock this afternoon. She was 77 years of age and leaves one daughter, Mrs. H. L. Jones, and one son, Oscar, of Oklahoma. Also a brother Warren Jones, of this city, and a sister, of Tucumseh, Neb.
