William Moseman, 91

Services for William A. Moseman, Sr., 91 of Uehling, who died January 6, 1994 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont were Monday, January 10 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Uehling. Rev. Mark Eldal officiated. Burial was in St. John’s Cemetery north of Hooper.

William A. Moseman, Sr. was born December 5, 1902 in rural Hooper. He attended St. John’s parochial school in rural Hooper and then attended two years of parochial high school at Deshler.

He farmed east of Scribner until1972 when he retired and moved to Uehling. While there, he worked at Harold’s farm service for 10 years. He moved to Hooper Care Center earlier this month.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Uehling and served on the church council. He was a 4-H Club leader, a director of School District No. 60, a member of Dodge County Soil Conservation board and the Uehling Fire District secretary and treasurer. For 22 years, he was on the board of the Uehling Co-op Co. In past years, he had also served on the Dodge County Fair Board and the Dodge County Extension Board.

He married Louise Feye April 18, 1922 in rural Hooper.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, two sisters, three brothers and two great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Louise; five sons, William Jr. of Winslow, Vernon of Fremont, Donald of Hooper, Carrol of Herman and Dean of Parker, Colorado; two sisters, Emma Lutheran and Regina Wolcott, both of Hooper; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials have been established to the church and Uehling Rescue Squad.

Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
