A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 13 at the First Baptist Church in Tekamah for Richard Earl Mossberger, 58, formerly of Tekamah who died of Cancer March 1, 1993 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Burial was in Fayetteville.

Richard Earl Mossberger was born December 28, 1934 in Tekamah to Victor E. and Laura M. Wilder Mossberger. He lived most of his life in the Tekamah and Blair areas.

He worked many years at Kelly Ryan’s in Blair before moving to Arkansas in 1977. He also worked at Love Box Co. in Arkansas for 16 years.

He married Betty Frye December 16, 1956. They had three children.

In 1974, he married Carol Fischer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Carol of Fayetteville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Nathan Algiere of Blair, Robin Mossberger of Tekamah and Mattie Jane and Danny Dodge of Omaha; two brothers, Rusty Taylor of California and John Taylor of Fremont; two sisters, Nellie Melroy of Tekamah and Mattie Ross of Wyoming; six grandsons and one granddaughter; four step-daughters and sons-in-law, Ramona and Curtis Gibbs of Elkton, Kentucky, Sonya and Andy Moore of Fayetteville, Terri Fischer of Fayetteville and Diann and Steve Myers of Irving, Texas; five step-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
