Blair Woman, Struck By Car, Died Sunday

Victim of Auto Accident. Struck While Crossing Street

MRS. MINNIE NELSON RITES WEDNESDAY

Mrs. Minnie Nelson, 75, of this city, suffered fatal injuries when she was struck by a car near her home last Sunday evening at about six o’clock.

She was taken at once to an Omaha hospital where an examination was made which disclosed the fact that both legs were fractured and she suffered internal injuries. She died shortly after the accident.

She was struck by a car driven by Kenneth Freeman of Herman. She was crossing Highway 73 on the South street near the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. John G. Jensen, where she has made her home for the past two and one half years.

She was the widow of the late Martin Nelson and had lived in or near Blair all her life. Her only daughter, Mrs. Milton Robinson, died a number of years ago. One other child, an adopted son, resides in Omaha.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Campbell Mortuary and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
