JACK BARRY, FORMER BLAIR MAN, IS DEAD

Jack Harry, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Barry of Blair, died suddenly Monday in Omaha of a heart attack. He was a graduate of Blair High School and a native of Blair and was well known here.

He had lived in Omaha since leaving Blair and had been an employee of the Goodyear Rubber Co. for the past 22 years.

John J. “Jack” Barry was born in Blair, June 29, 1926. He attended school here and grew up in this community, graduating with the Blair High School Class of 1944. Following his graduation he attended Dana College and later attended Creighton University in Omaha.

In May, 1949, he was married to Miss Marion R. Case and to this union four children were born. All of the children and his wife survive his death. The survivors are his wife, Marion, daughter, Pamela; sons, Kevin, John and Timothy, all of whom are still at home.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Barry also survive as well as two sisters, Margaret Gillen, of Omaha and Mary Martin of Denver. A brother, Robert, also resides at Denver.

Funeral services are being held this (Thursday) morning in Omaha at Holy Name Church. Burial will be made in Holy Cross Cemetery at Blair. Pall bearers are Donald Conrad, John Lutz, Emmett Roger, Melvin Weaver, Max Gillatte and Robert Joseph.
